SSRI Stories Page 24 I have been on 10mg of lexapro for a bit over 2yrs now. I ran out 3days ago. I had gained 60lbs since taking lexapro. I used to be very sexual and in my prime but now I have no sex drive. I was taking this medication for migraines and panic attacks. No change in the frequency of migraines but the panic attacks diminished. I didn't pick up my prescription and I am not going to. I have started losing weight and I haven't changed my lifestyle. No sex drive yet but I am not worried about it. The only thing I am concerned about is not tapering off and how stopping cold is going to effect me in two weeks from now. I am also on Wellbutrin to quit smoking (which is a great drug for quitting smoking). Maybe I will not have any side effects from the lexapro because of the wellbutrin, who knows, hopefully not. If anyone has experienced stopping lexapro cold let me know. I would like to know what I may be in for in 2 weeks. Thanks. I gained 14 lbs. on lexapro all in the gut. The first week on it, 10 mg. a day, I noticed that I had very little sex drive, and after a couple of weeks I had no sex drive at all. I didn't worry all that much about it though, because the lexapro doesn't let you worry about minor things like that. It turns you into an emotional zombie. I continued to take it for 8 weeks hoping that the side effects would go away with time. They didn't. I had no sex drive whatsoever. I have been off of the lexapro now for going on 3 weeks and still have no sex drive, and believe me I've tried.
