SSRI Stories Page 19 I have been on Lexapro for about 10 months. It has helped with the anxiety. But... as I look on the past few months, I have noticed loss of memory, 20 lbs heavier and very lethargic I am weaning myself off. Side effects are terrible; dizziness, can't get to sleep and the jitters. When I feel the side effect I pop a half pill ( 5 mg.) The symptoms go away. Hopefully over time I can feel normal!!! I have been on Lexapro for two weeks now. I was previously taking Paxil and doing fine, but it was recently taken off the market. I have had a constant headache, neck ache and nausea, and light headedness for the past 12 days. At first I thought it may be a withdrawal from Paxil. Now I am fairly certain that it is from the side effects of Lexapro. It has been two weeks and I don't know whether to wait it out and hope the side effects subside, or ask my doctor to switch me to a different drug. I AM A 20 YEAR OLD WOMEN. I WAS GIVEN LEXAPRO FOR PALPATIONS FROM ANXIETY. I
