I was prescribed Zoloft for postpartum depression
and have been on it for about nine months. Because I was experiencing fits of
rage and irrational behavior, my Dr. upped my dosage from 100mg to 150mg. Almost
immediately I've been experiencing diarrhea and a 'spacing out' feeling. Also
difficulty staying focused on simple tasks. After reading these postings I'm
scared. I have an appointment this week and I'm going to ask this doc to get me
off of these!
I went into a depression back in 1996. All I really needed
was a kick in the but, but my father took me to some shrink, and she prescribed
Zoloft, I was 23.
Now after no history of any kind of heart problems, and no family history of
early onset of heart problems, I first experienced skipped beats in 1998, but
didn't realize what they were, now I been to the emergency room for
palpitations, rapid heart beats, and have been recently seeing a cardiologist
about skipped beats and a irregular heart beat. So far they have not found
anything. I am 33 now and am starting to believe after reading all the accounts
here that Zoloft has damaged me. I was on this drug for maybe 2 months then
quit cold. I then slept for 7 months. If Zoloft is the culprit for my current
problems it is an extremely dangerous thing, and needs to be pulled from the
market.
