The Wonders Of Omega 3
Ultimate Omega 3 may appear to be more expensive than most
other Omega 3 on the market. When you look at the amount of EPA and DHA in other
Omega 3 it shows a different story. To get the benefit from Omega 3, you need to
be receiving enough EPA and DHA from the Omega 3. Odds are you would need to
take 3 or 4 capsules of another brand of Omega 3 to get the same amount of EPA
and DHA found in 1 softgel of Ultimate Omega 3. You actually wind up and pay
more for an inferior product.
Omega 3 News - 16
December, 2005 - "RESEARCHERS argue that a few months
of taking Omega 3, found in fatty fish, makes criminals more calm, contented and
less violent.
Many scientists from various countries have claimed that fish
oil affects our mental health. Norwegian doctor Havard Bentsen reportedly said
that Omega 3 and vitamins can have an affect regarding aggression and affect and
impulse regulation which is the cause of many criminal acts.
He believes that Omega 3 could have prevented a significant
proportion of violent acts. The psychiatric researcher argues that a third of
violent acts among prisoners can be avoided by giving them an even amount of
omega-3 and vitamin supplements.
Two capsules of fish oil a day or at least one dinner of
fatty fish per week is what is needed. Trials in an English and an American prison showed that the
prisoners given dietary supplements with omega 3, vitamins and minerals caused
35 percent less violent acts than those prisoners given placebo supplements.
Researchers are increasingly stating to
study the effects of these fatty acids on mental health, ADHD, behavior and
other related issues."
This seems to run in line with what people describe that are
taking psychotropic medication. Their agitation and irritability lessen while
their good moods become more prominent.
Omega 3 is an essential fatty
acid. The two key components of Omega 3 are EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid)
and DHA (Docosahexanoic).
Essential fatty acids only
come from the diet.
The amount of EPA and DHA
taken into the body directly relates to desired results. The type of
fish used to make the Omega 3 also plays an important role.
TRB Health has
specially manufactured their Omega 3 for the highest EPA and DHA content
and selected an unsurpassed fish oil mixture to consistently deliver the
desired results.
Krill: Shrimp-like
plankton found at the bottom of the food chain. Krill is similar to fish
oil, with the exception that it contains naturally occurring
phospholipids (Phospholipids are fat derivatives in which one fatty
acid has been replaced by a phosphate group and one of several
nitrogen-containing molecules), and contains more EPA per gram than
standard fish oil capsules (240 mg/g EPA in krill vs.180 mg/g in
standard fish oil).
TRB Health has used
Krill to achieve the base of EPA in their Ultimate Omega 3.
Salmon - Sardine:
Salmon and sardine have been selected to round out TRB Health
Omega 3 due to their high content of EPA and DHA. The ration of EPA to
DHA is only slightly of importance. The level of EPA and DHA take
precedence.
Pacific Ocean, Coast of
Peru: The nutrient-rich, deep cold waters off the coast of Peru are
the source of Global DNA Solution’s Omega 3. From these fish abundant
waters our Omega 3 content is derived.
Distilling Process:
TRB Health ensures their Omega 3 is cholesterol free, impurity
free, and contaminant free before accepting delivery. Bringing their
customers the highest quality Omega 3 with therapeutic levels of EPA and
DHA is their policy.
Omega 3 Benefit
Omega 3 has been shown to:
Aid in transmission of nerve impulses, improve hair and skin, lower
blood pressure, help prevent arthritis, lower triglyceride levels and
lower cholesterol, and help fight cardiovascular disease. Omega 3 has
also been shown to enhance mood and alleviate depression.
Every living cell in the body
requires essential fatty acids. Without essential fatty acids, the body
will not be able to rebuild or produce new cells.
Research shows omega 3 fats feed the human brain, not the
hips
NewsRx.com - January 20, 2005
Peer-reviewed research shows that long-chain omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty
acids (n-3 LC-PUFAs) - namely docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic
acid (EPA) - feed the human brain and may improve psychiatric conditions as well
as visual function. This research is described in the PUFA Newsletter.
A guest commentary on n-3 LC-PUFAs and the brain reveals that DHA helps cell
membranes, intracellular metabolism, and regulation of gene expression. It also
shows that DHA is key to brain metabolism and both DHA and EPA are beneficial in
neuropsychiatric conditions.
"Manic-depressive illness, depression, and schizophrenia are common
neuropsychiatric disorders," writes Andrew Sinclair, PhD, professor of food
science, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. "Results from case-control
studies, clinical trials, and case studies have shown that oils rich in n-3 LC-PUFAs
play a beneficial role in these neuropsychiatric conditions."
Other studies show that DHA also plays a role in retinal cell signaling, and
thus, helps optimize visual function. Vitamin A intake may enhance the
beneficial effects of n-3 LC-PUFAs on eyesight.
"A diet rich in fish omega3 with vitamin A supplementation may retard
premature visual loss in retinitis pigmentosa," notes Joyce Nettleton, DSc, RD,
editor, PUFA Newsletter.
More new research shows that fish consumption in a calorie-restricted diet
among overweight subjects with high blood pressure enhances the beneficial
effects of weight loss. With both caloric restriction and daily fish
consumption, reductions in blood pressure and improvements in fat profile, heart
rate, and sugar metabolism are greater than with weight loss alone.
"These benefits are also effective in simultaneously reducing the risk of
stroke, cardiovascular disease and myocardial infarction," Nettleton says.
Moreover, consumption of n-3 PUFAs may reduce allergic inflammation in
airways, reducing the severity of asthma and improving the quality of life in
children at high risk of developing asthma.
The building blocks of fats and oils in the body are fatty
acids. Essential fatty acids (EFA) are fatty acids necessary for health which
cannot be made by the body.
Essential fatty acids must be supplied by diet. Either food
intake or supplementation are the only options for this necessary product.
Every living cell in the body needs essential fatty acids for
survival.
"Insufficient intake of essential
fatty acids (EFAs) may contribute to the pathogenesis of mental diseases, while
their supplementation may relieve some symptoms, according to researchers who
attended the National Institutes of Health Workshop on Omega 3 Essential Fatty
Acids and Psychiatric Disorders held in Bethesda, Md., in September 1998."

One side effect caused by antidepressants,
mainly Paxil and Zoloft had remained a mystery until now. It was not a mystery
they existed on withdrawal for a high percentage of people but how to
effectively get rid of them.
Glutathione helped
in many cases but did not seem to be the complete answer.
Our bodies have an electrical current.
From cell to cell or receptor to receptor it takes unobstructed electrical
current to work properly.
Omega 3 has been shown to effectively
assist the body with repair in this area.

The above chart focuses on
the cost of Omega-3's (EPA and DHA) only. The information used for this
comparison was acquired from reputable Internet websites on July 28th and 29th,
2004 and September 21st, 2004. Although some of the products used in this
comparison contain additional ingredients that may be of benefit to your health,
only the cost of the long-chained Omega-3's (EPA and DHA) were determined.
